Who Qualifies For Your Bursary Or College Student Loan From NSFAS?



The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application procedure.

Applications are now open and can close on 15 December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should satisfy the following requirements:

• Be considered a South African citizen or copyright who emanates from a house by using a combined gross residence earnings that does not exceed R350 000 for every annum.

• People with disabilities qualify if their combined residence profits would not exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients instantly qualify for funding and wish not nsfas application post any evidence of income.

*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent residents nsfas status from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for every annum.

Applicants are reminded to provide the correct Identification Document numbers, names, and surname, as mirrored of their South African ID.

NSFAS only funds individuals who are learning or plan to research in a public university or TVET college in South Africa.

All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.

Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They my nsfas should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
